Munshiganj, Jan 27 — Two separate cases have been filed against 4,026 unknown from adjacent areas of the proposed Bangabandhu Airport in Munshiganj.
Srinagar Police Station sub-inspector Mohammad Khalid filed a case against 2,000 unknown people while a bus helper, Masud Mia, filed another against more 2,026 unknown people with the station on Wednesday night.
Srinagar police chief Shakhawat Hossain told bdnes24.com that SI Khalid filed a case on the charges of obstructing police duty, snatching police’s wireless set during the fray and attack on police.
On the other hand, Masud brought charges of vandalising and setting fire on bus.
On Wednesday afternoon the locals formed a blockade from Chhonbari square to Keotkhali area protesting the project. People eventually involved in vandalism on Dhaka-Maowa highway and riot with the police that left around 20 injured.
