Savar, Dec 2 (bdnews24.com) — The authorities of a readymade garments factory at Savar have filed a case against its 186 workers on charges of vandalism, looting and assaulting its officials.
The case was filed early Thursday and the police arrested three workers of the factory, Medler Apparels.
The factory was closed indefinitely on Thursady.
“Thirty-six of the accused are identified ones and the police are looking for the other accused,” Delwar, sub-inspector of Ashulia Police Station and also the investigation officer in the case, told bdnews24.com on Thursday.
Ashulia police chief Abdur Rashid said workers of the factory, situated at Narshinghapur, demonstrated on Tuesday and Wednesday. Later, the authorities alleged that the workers assaulted officials, snatched mobile phones and other valuables.
