Two Cops Injured In Riot Outside Of Bar

WACO (November 20, 2010) – Two Waco police officers were injured during a fight outside of a bar early Saturday morning.

It started at 1:47a.m. when officers tried to arrest a suspect in a fight at the El RanchO Bar at Robinson Dr and Primrose.

According to a police report, officers attempted to take the individual but he resisted.

Officers were able to get him outside, but then individuals in the crowd started throwing objects at the officers.

Other officers that arrived to assist tried to back the crowd away from the officers taking the subject into custody.

There were shots fire by someone in the crowd.

Police say the crowd continued to get out of hand, so officers used tear gas to break up the fight.

Two officers were injured during the incident.

The extent of those injuries is unknown.
