02 Oct

DERA GHAZI KHAN: The inmates of Central Jail Dera Ghazi Khan held a protest against the administration for torturing prisoners Saturday.

Police held a baton charge and aerial firing while protesting prisoners threw stones at them.

Sources said that the jail administration tortured four inmates brutally on the issue of bribery. More than 700 prisoners of the central jail raised their voice against this attitude of the administration.

Instead of initiating talks with the prisoners, police held baton charge and used tear gas. Several prisoners have been injured.
