Flood affectee injured in police baton charge succumbs to his injuries, 5 more injured by police

SUKKUR: A flood affected man namely Ali Murad Bhangwar, who was injured in the police baton charge a few days ago in Sukkur succumbed to his injuries in a hospital of Larkana on Saturday. The local police continued to resort to baton charge on the flood affectees outside the NADRA Centre at Islamia College Sukkur and as a result five more flood affectees sustained critical injuries. The injured include Muhammad Ali, Naeem, Sher and others, who were rushed to different local hospitals. It is worthwhile to mention that NADRA authorities suspended an employee namely Ayaz Ali Solangi over the allegation of demanding bribe for issuance of Watan Cards.
Meanwhile, the flood affectees staged a protest demonstration against the atrocities of the police and performance of the NADRA authorities.
