A retired Ada County Sheriff’s deputy’s home was attacked for the third time in a month.
The latest attack happened last night around midnight. The owner says he was working in the kitchen when a firebomb hit is back. He said he shut off the lights so the attacker couldn’t see where he was and ran out the back door.
On Monday a cleaning specialist surveyed the extensive damage.
“We go to lots of fires but I’ve never, ever seen an arson fire where somebody threw a bomb at a person through the house,” said Jim Hall of Servicemaster Clean.
The owner said that in the past month, someone had broken in twice. One time, he said he came home and smelled gas. Another time someone had spray-painted his walls.
The Garden City Police Department is investigating.
