Peshawar traders demands return of seized items

PESHAWAR: Traders on Sunday staged a demonstration against the seizure of huge quantity of various products from their markets and factories by security forces.

They torched tyres and blocked Peshawar-to-Khyber Agency road.

The protestors alleged that security forces had forcibly taken away up to 60 trucks filled with various items worth million of rupees.

After attack on NATO tankers, security forces on Friday raided different factories and markets and seized items stolen from NATO tankers. The traders denied they were selling NATO items in the markets.

They threatened to continue the protest till return of the seized products. However, police intervened and managed to end the protest. SAMAA
