Electric coop offers $10,000 reward for info. on vandalism

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) – SouthEastern Illinois Electric Cooperative is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for cutting down three of their distribution poles.

On Sunday, three of the Cooperative’s poles were cut down along Log Cabin Road in Franklin County just east of Ewing.

The vandalism caused power outages to several of the cooperative’s members and damaged equipment owned by SouthEastern Illinois Electric Cooperative.

The cooperative is asking the public to report any suspicious activity around electrical equipment to the police.
