BUENOS AIRES – A bomb exploded on Wednesday outside a Buenos Aires branch of Banco Nacion, Argentina’s largest bank, but no injuries were reported, police said.
The bomb was planted at the entrance to the Banco Nacion branch in Belgrano, a neighborhood in the northern section of the capital.
The explosion shattered windows in the building that houses the bank branch.
Investigators have ruled out robbery as a motive, focusing instead on labor disputes as the reason for the attack.
The offices of several foreign banks have been bombed in recent years, but no one has been injured in the attacks.
Clandestine leftist and nationalist groups have claimed responsibility for the bombings. EFE
