Bhubaneswar: Left wing extremists today blew up two Mobile towers at Kudulguma village under Orkel Police station in the naxal-infested Malkangiri district.
The ultras also ransacked a foreign liquor shop located in the village.
Malkangiri Police said around 150 Maoists came to the village and blew up the towers in the wee hours today.The Maoists had also pasted posters in and around the village.
Combing operation is on in the area following the incident, Police said.
On Tuesday 19 night also armed Maoists had blown up a mobile tower and power room of a private company at Kaliatalguda village under Baipariguda police station in Koraput district.The attack on the mobile tower was the fourth incident during the last three months under the Baipariguda police station limits in Koraput district.
Police said earlier,the Maoists had blasted the mobile towers erected by the private companies at Ramgiri,Mathapada and Baligaon village in Koraput district.
