Vandals Strike Sonoma County Offices

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KCBS)  — Santa Rosa police believe more than two dozen government vehicles and several buildings in the Sonoma County Administration Center were vandalized Thursday morning.

Santa Rosa Police Sergeant Lisa Banayat tells KCBS that shortly after 8 a.m. officers began receiving reports of vandalism at the county complex building, including the Board of Supervisors.

“We received reports that three vans and 25 vehicles had their windshields smashed in, as well as windows being smashed in several buildings,” said Banayat.

Police are on scene are looking for witnesses and evidence, including surveillance camera video. So far they have no suspects, and they say they do not know why the vandalism took place.
