GUIYANG: A man forced into a court in southwest China’s Guizhou Province Wednesday, killing a court police and injuring three others, the local government said Thursday.
The man broke into the Intermediate People’s Court in Zunyi City at 4 pm, stabbed a court policeman, two security guards and a woman clerk with a knife, and fled, said a spokesman with the political and law committee of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.
The policeman died at hospital Wednesday night. The other three injured were still in hospital.
Police are soliciting clues leading to the arrest of the assailant, who witnesses described as a young man wearing a dark hat.
