Greece: party offices hit in arson spree

28 July
(AP) — ATHENS, Greece – Police in Greece say arsonists attacked seven suburban political party offices in a spree of attacks across Athens.

Small offices of the governing conservative New Democracy party, the opposition Socialist party and rightist LAOS party were targeted in Tuesday’s pre-dawn attacks that all took place within 30 minutes.

No group claimed responsibility for the firebombings, carried out using petrol bombings and small cooking gas canisters.

Anarchist groups frequently carry out arson attack in the Greek capital, mostly targeting banks and government agency buildings.
